Vigo

Vigo, a modern and cheerful city settled over its own ria and one of the most important merchant, fishing and sportive ports in Europe due to its privileged situation over the bay formed by the ria. The location of its surface is determined between the ria and the Fragoso Valley. Castro Mount determines the settlement of the first inhabitants forming an urban area marked by a great maritime feeling. The city is extended over the coast facing the sea. Fragoso Valley was the expansion frame when the 60's development needed more building land for the placement of new industries. Nowadays, due to the population explosion, Castro Mount is found in the middle of the city and has some beautiful sea views, remains of the fortress culture and an old castle.
